The flexible anti-backlash method and the rigid anti-backlash method are methods to eliminate the side clearance of gear transmission. They have been well applied in the following anti-backlash mechanisms respectively.
XNUMX. Flexible anti-backlash method:
1. Disc spring anti-backlash mechanism:

3. Taper due to wheel anti-backlash mechanism:
Change the indexing cylinders of gears 1 and 2 to tapered conical surfaces to change the tooth thickness of the gears in the axial direction.When assembling, by changing the thickness of the washer 3, the relative position of the two gears in the axial direction is changed to eliminate the backlash.
