Determination of positioning datum for gear machining

The accuracy of the gear machining positioning reference has a direct influence on the tooth profile machining accuracy.
Two types of positioning datums are often used for tooth profile processing of disc sleeve gears.
The tooth profile machining of shaft gears generally chooses the top hole positioning, and some large modulus shaft gears mostly choose the gear journal and end face positioning.
1. Positioning of circle and end face
Because of the low alignment efficiency, it is generally used for the production and processing of single-piece small batches of gears.
The inner hole of the tooth blank is installed on the universal mandrel, and the center position of the hole is determined by aligning the outer circle. Therefore, the radial runout of the outer circle of the tooth blank to the inner hole is required to be small.
2. Inner hole and end face positioning
Widely used in batch production due to high productivityGear processingin.
Choosing the inner hole which is not only the design reference but also the measurement and assembly reference as the positioning reference, not only conforms to the principle of "reference coincidence", but also can make the process reference of tooth profile processing uniform. As long as the accuracy of the inner hole is strictly controlled, when positioning on the special mandrel No need to be rectified.
