4. Four main technical requirements for gear processing:

1. Movement accuracy:

Mainly control the total error of the rotation angle of the gear in one revolution.That is, the gear pair transmission ratio is controlled to ensure the accuracy of the transmission movement.

2. Transmission smoothness:

It mainly controls the rotation angle error of the gear in a range of pitch angle.That is, the instantaneous transmission ratio of the gear pair is controlled to ensure smooth transmission and reduce vibration, impact and noise.

3. Uniformity of load distribution (contact accuracy):

Mainly control the contact marks on the tooth surface to ensure uniform load distribution.

4. Transmission backlash:

A certain amount of backlash is left between the non-working surfaces of the control meshing gear teeth to store lubricating oil, compensate for elastic deformation and thermal deformation, as well as gear manufacturing and installation errors.

Since the manufacturing accuracy and tooth backlash of the gear are mainly determined by the use and working conditions of the product, in actual use:

a. For gears used for heavy-duty and low-speed transmission, higher contact accuracy on the tooth surface is required to ensure that the product does not wear prematurely;

b. For gears used for reversing transmission and reading mechanism, the gear side clearance should be strictly controlled, and if necessary, the clearance should be eliminated;

c. For gears used for indexing transmission, the main requirements for the product's movement accuracy are high;

d. For high-speed power transmission gears, in order to reduce impact and noise, there are higher requirements for working stability and accuracy.
