Selection of injection molding gear process parameters:

The process parameters in the injection molding process refer to the temperature, pressure and time required for molding.

1. Molding temperature

It means that during the normal injection molding process, the plastic is cooled and solidified in the mold to form a plastic part, and its barrel temperature, nozzle temperature and mold temperature.

2. Injection pressure

It is the pressure that the plastic bears during injection. High pressure is easy to produce spray, but high-power equipment and molds with higher strength and rigidity should be used.

3. Molding time

It refers to the time of injection, holding pressure, and cooling, as well as auxiliary time such as mold opening, picking, and placing of inserts.

For different materials, the process parameters of injection molding are different, as shown in the figure below.

Injection molding process:

1. Preparation of raw materials.

Put a certain granular material into the barrel for pre-heat treatment, which is mainly to dry the plastic with strong water absorption and make it melt uniformly. This process is called plasticization.

2. Install the mold.

Including plastic inserts, movable cores, etc.

3. Injection.

According to the raw materials required for each injection, they are melted and plasticized and then injected into the mold.

4. Pressurize and maintain pressure.

Under pressure, the melt fills the cavity and maintains a certain pressure. Before the gate is solidified, continue to give a certain pressure, so that it has a certain limit on its shrinkage and can increase the density of the product.

5. Return the mold to take out the plastic part, and the melt is completely solidified.

6. Process the plastic parts.
