Involute spline:

Used for high-strength connections.

The pressure angle is 30°: the tooth shape is centered and the load capacity is large.

The pressure angle is 45°: the number of teeth is large, the modulus is small, and it is used for light load.Especially suitable for the connection of shafts and thin-walled parts.

Features:

The manufacturing process is good, the precision is high, the tooth root strength is high, and the centering is easy.

It is often used to transmit large torque and large shaft diameter.

α=45°SplineThe working face has a small height and a low load-bearing capacity. It is mostly used for static connections with lighter loads and smaller diameters.Especially suitable for the connection of shafts and thin-walled parts.

versusInvolute gearIn contrast, spline teeth are short, tooth roots are wide, and the minimum number of teeth without undercutting is less.

Rectangular spline:

The main parameters:

Number of key teeth z, minor diameter d, major diameter D, key tooth width B.

It is easy to manufacture and the most widely used.

Size series:

Light series—used for light load or static connection.

Medium series are used for heavy load or dynamic connection.

Triangular spline:

Used for the connection of thin-walled parts.
